Guest speaker Mr Vivek Pawar

Vivek Pawar is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sankalp Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd. He brings in 18 years of industry experience in varied functions as General management, Operations, Program management, Customer relations, design and significant experience is Mixed-Signal and Analog Product Design, System On Chip (SoC) Development including firmaware development. Prior to Sankalp Semiconductor, Vivek was Program Manager at Texas Instruments Inc. (Houston, USA) during 2003-2005 and General Manager for Broadband Silicon Technology Center in Texas Instruments India, Bangalore from 2000-2003.

Mr. Vivek pawar started the session at 9:00 am .He shared his testimony ,in his testimony he shared ten turning points by which his life is changed. He completed his schooling from boarding school and due to his eyes he has been removed from boarding school. Later he joined PUC and got 87 % , this was his first turning. His brothers and sister are state rankers only Vivek pawar is average student, but in PUC he worked hard and scored more percentage

He got engineer seat , in first two semester he just passed with average percentage but in remaining semester he worked hard and got distinction marks. These was his second turning point. Third turning is in his interview in TEXAS company. HE saved in accident and survived from cancer. While he was explaining he told ten turning points in his life.

After his testimony explaining , our fellows asked some questions which help us to know more about entrepreneurship. Mr Vivek intension of taking class is that ,he want everyone of us to focus on one point, we should put all our efforts on one thing which we love to do.

Village study

Village study-----Karadikoppa 11 and 12 feb 2009

As a part of village study we Chandru Lamani, Fathima, Devadanam and Mahanthaswami were posted to Karadikoppa village. Before that Mr. Prakash Bhatt took theory classes to all fellows for 6 days. On 10th Feb we had PRA in Kamplikoppa village. After that on 11th Feb we all went to Karadikoppa village.

We did transect walk outside the village.we walk nearly 4 km outside the village to study how much cultivated land and how much land is baren.We had some fun while walking in the banana and other fields.in the fields we had lunch with the farmers,really it was a wonderful experience.

We saw one indigeneous technology in these village.One farmer were using guttar water to plants.He made that guttar water to flow to one tank and form that he fixed one pump and from that pump the water will folw to the the plants.

TREE PLANTATION

We the team of four members decided to plant the trees. As we got the opportunity to plant the trees,I took the permission from the st John’s school principle. On Sunday morning we went to that school their children helped us in bringing water and peg to dig the pits and that school teacher also joined us in planting the trees.We planted four Ashoka plants in front of the school.

Mr Manivanan started the class with question ,the question is ,what is the purpose of life. He asked these question to all the fellows and all the fellows told different answer. After getting all different answers from the fellows he explained those in a very simple and understanding way.according to him the purpose of life is SURVIVAL. Survival=>From birth to after death.
Mr Manivanan is young,energetic,innovative thinking ,courageous and open hearted person. We have asked few questions like,how did you talked the people while operation footpath,what your thinking regardinh Entrepreneurship ,etc. After the session we took group photo.

Dr Abdul Kalam Inaugurated the two buildings. R.H.K Kulkarni Memorial lecture hall complex & Deshpande Centre for Social Enterpreneirship . RHK building is been built in the memory of Sudha murthy Father late Kulkarni and Deshapnde building is for the Social Entrepreneurship.
One of the most exciting,joyful and memorable moment is ,we the Deshapnde foundation cohort II Fellows have got the chance of taking the photo with great personalities Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, R N Naratan Murthy, Sudha Murthy, Ravi Deshpande And his wife Jaishree Deshpande. We the Cohort II Fellows are very proud of meeting such a great personalities.
After photo session Dr Abdul Kalam addressd to the 5000 people . Dr kalam Asked the following questions to the students.

1) Who want to work in the industry.
2) Who want to become a Sudha Murthy.
3) Who want to be a Social Enterpreneur.
4) Who want to study research.

He said that, Good environment creates creativity, creativity creates innovation and innovation creats a better community. Dr Kalam quoted “small aim is crime” he always wants people to aim high, based on these he told four qualities i,e sincere hard work,Take knowledge ,Perseverance.
He took three great people example who created a innovation things for the world.He also took the example of Narayan murthy and Sudha murthy who created the change in India through Infoses. He also told ten points about VISION 2020. Though he is old but his voice,clearity,stuff and thinking was young man.
Dr Abdul Kalam focused mainly on CREAVITY, and LEADERSHIP. He told learder is one who take failures on himself and gives success to his followers,these word inspired and encouraged me a lot .Lastly he answered the people for few question which were written by the engineering students.

After Abbul Kalam left the gathering Narayan murthy talk about the Infoses status of recruiting people in Infoses and he told that students should be very ready to face any kind of situation in life.Ravi Deshpande talked on Social Entrepreneurship and he want Hubli to be a centre for social entrepreneurship.

In St John’s school we as a team performed leadership activity on the eve of Republic day.
We came to know the need of students in this school that they are in need of Encouragement and Motivation, taking these as an account we as a team we decided to motivate the students , many of the students don’t know the importance of Republic day just without knowing the meaning of Republic day they celebrate.
On Republic Day we took the permission from the school Principle he accepted our request and gave the permission. Morning after flag hoisting at 9:30 we went to school gathered 70 high school students in one class room ,Hanamanth sang one patriotic song after song I gave the introduction of Deshpande Foundation.We showed two motiveation videos ,lingaraj and Jagdish explained about the videos after showing these videos I told them the importance of studies and showed them EVERYDAY video,students are very much excited and came to know how much they should worked hard and they encouraged and motivated.
